This robust temporary fencing option is well-suited for safeguarding construction sites and excavations, while also serving as effective pedestrian barriers or crowd control measures.
With adaptable installation options suitable for both concrete and softer ground surfaces, each galvanized welded mesh panel is constructed from durable 4mm steel wire. The grid pattern, with centers not exceeding 50mm x 50mm, complies with AS/NZS 4994.1:2009 standards. Panels feature a rectangular rolled wire top and a galvanized kick plate at the bottom to prevent objects from falling through, minimizing hazards near drop-offs.
Available in two sizes, the Mesh Panel Barrier enhances site safety by protecting workers from debris and clearly marking walkways and restricted zones. The barrier system includes galvanized 50mm square RHS posts, specifically designed for easy locking of panels in place. Installation and removal are streamlined, with the option to fix posts to concrete using low-profile 152mm square fixing flanges (recommend seeking engineering advice for concrete fixation).
While alternative methods like star pickets may be used in certain situations, it’s advised to consult with engineers beforehand. The purpose-built RHS posts provided with the Mesh Panel Barrier offer the recommended installation method for optimal performance and safety.
